Thanks .... so I went to where the BIOS settings are, but the sound/audio was under "Integrated Peripherals". There I found and disabled "Onboard Legacy Audio" "MPU410" and "Gameport" and I ENABLED Soundblaster.

It doesn't look like there are any programs associated with the onboard audio in the Add/Remove programs control panel... but of course I'm not sure of what I'm looking for.

However, I still have "no audio device" no sound
And the VIA (onboard audio) driver I removed (from system audio devices) and when I rebooted, the computer found it and installed it again. So I disabled it in the control panel.

What do I do now? Anymore suggestions?

Thanks, by the way, for all the help so far.
