Just as a side note..

If you are going to use the extra HD for storage and will want it accassable (and writable) from both Windows and linux, format it with a FAT32 file system as Linux can not write to NTFS nor can Windows write to ReiserFS or EXT2 / EXT3

Linux does have *experimental* RW support for NTFS but you will most likely trash the HD if you enable writing support as itis still to experimental

FAT32 is easily read and written to by both OS's
