I have posted this same question on the PC Pitstop Forum and several are working on it -- but so far, no answer.
Does anyone know how to find the Microsoft Works Product Key? After all, if you lose it, you cannot register your software on re-installation and therefore the software will not continue to work. (At least Microsoft Word will not open after 49 times.) I am speaking of a complete fresh install of all software. You will then need your Works Product Key (Encarta, Streets & Trips, Microsoft Word etc. are part of Works) Yes, it is on the original CD box, but if you lose it -- then what? According to some, Microsoft doesn't give much help on this one. Maybe you could find it in the registry?
I know how to find the Windows XP Installation CD Key, and also how to find the Operating System Software Number. I have included the link for both these for those who would like to know. But again, how do you find the Works Product Key?
