Is there a guide to removing starup programs? I notice I have two
LoadPowerProfiles, Microsoft Works and many others that I wouldl like to turn off or manage. I know how to disable each, but would like to know which are necessary. I saw a general guide on the internet once that explained what each Progam, but it was old and did not have everything I needed at the time any advice would be appreciated.

I am running a Dell 4100 128 ram, Windows ME, IE version 6.0.2800.1106, 128 bit with update SP1.

I have 27 items in my startup menu. A guide to removal or programs that are necessary are my main concern.
