I am running windows XP Home Edition and I am having problems
in fixing errors on the hard drive. Norton Disk Doctor reports errors in Security Descriptors and in the file system.

After selecting the fix errors checkbox and starting the test again
I was prompted to restart the computer to run the dos command
chksdk /f so that any errors could be fixed.

This procedure seemed to work fine but after running Disk Doctor again in Windows the same errors remain as before. Any useful advice with this problem would be appreciated.
