Yeh hello
I recently bought a new pc with xp on it, after only about a week
i got the same problem as you guys, I couldn't figure it out so decided to format as i wanted two partitions anyway and i thought it was my fault with some software glich.
another week goes by with no prob then today i turn it on and wham it's back. So rang up the company they helped me through the safe mode a lot of writing comes up and i had to wait a while for the safe mode screen to come up and then restored back one day and all is fine again.
When asked what the cause is they say it sounds like a memory fault and have offered to exchange the memory.
but I'll give it another week and see how it goes.
