I have considered just installing a new HD and backup the files I need and reinstall Win XP and any programs i need. It will cost some $$$ but It may be the solution.

Don't forget to do the online Panda AV scan as well.
Just ensure that your installed AV and Firewall are always updated and properly configured. Correct configuration can be obtained via your AV/Firewall vendor.

Don't forget to include compressed files in your normal and email scans!
