Recently, none of my music or video files have been playing with sound either in Windows Media Player or Real Player (the video still works). But, it's not a sound card problem because the sound works in PowerDVD, and if I run PowerDVD simultaneously, the sound works with the other programs too.

I have a Dell Inspiron 5050, Pentium 4, 1 GB Ram.
