XP Fixed...but not cheap.
Well, I fixed my XP. And how did I do it?
I bought new hardware.
I got to the point where I couldn't even successfully re-install XP any more. I am pretty sure the culprit was the RAM. I had 3x SDRAM chips and the computer ran fine with just one in, but it didn't like the combination of all of them.
So if you have this problem and you have more than one Memory chip, experiment taking all but one out and see how it goes (slower of course).
I ended up buying a new Mainboard, CPU and RAM and now my XP flies with not one crash yet.
