I've got ntlworld bb m8 - On a Win2k Pc - I have another PC with Win98. The win98 pc uses ntlworld bb no probs - i've tried it on a win2k pc as well (3 PCs all sharing the same connection)....

if it works in win2k it should in xp

1. Make sure that internet connection sharing is enabled and configured properly - The cable modem detects its IP address) - set LAN card to 192.168.0.1(this is the IP address for the client PC's gateway - these IPs are reserved 4 this sort of thing) - increment the 1 for every client pc - so your laptop should have a Gateway IP address of 192.168.0.1 and an IP Address of 192.168.0.1 (internet connection sharing does all this) 9 times out of 10 just selecting Connect via LAN in the internet connection config is enough to get things going.....

you said you were using x over cables - i bet u haven't got a HUB (It really is worth getting one)

hope i've helped a little a bit...
