Allrighty, I do have discreet software installed so we're in the same vicinity as far as how the issues occur. I did try installing SP2 but it didn't seem to affect the issue at all. It still does it every bootup. One easy workaround/solution is to install windows to a new directory and get rid of the old one (for those of us in a situation where imaging is not an option). I'm ordering a new harddrive so I can install from scratch, but for now I'm just going to install windows next to itself (for more reasons than just the registry issue).
