USB2.0 problems
I have huge problems with connecting an external DVD burner to my USB2.0 ports on my PC with ASUS P4S8X mainboard and WinXP SP1 (Norwegian). I get the following error (translated to English): “A high-speed USB unit is plugged in to a low-speed USB hub. Click this window to get help solving the problem.” When I do I get a window showing a tree-structure with 6 available USB ports on SiS PCI to USB enhanced controller. This is as fas as I see the controller for my USB2.0. My chipset is SiS 963 South Bridge.
I have downloaded all the latest drivers from ASUS (including BIOS) and Microsoft. USB2.0 is enabled in BIOS setup. I have uninstalled several times all the USB stuff with no luck. To me it seems like I should get rid of the SiS 7001 driver. But this only installs itself after restart (p&p).
Anyone that can help me ???
