Although SP1 provides support for USB 2.0, you may still need the mfg specific drivers in order for it function properly.
case in point, my kv8 pro came with it's own specific usb 2.0 drivers which required SP1 be installed.
However, the problem here lies with the SIS 7001 chipset.
