Well, mbgeek, aren't you the IDIOT, for you see the problem is not a RAM problem, although it may help YOU to use new RAM.....

I have just reinstalled WinXP 3 times w/updates in the last day, each time comeing up with the same problem, & couldn't figure out why it was happening.

I did some searches & dug around in all kinds of forums, read TONS of posts. Then I stumbled on to the error reports section of "computer management" & found the "popup window" entries.
Well this entry explains that it IS indeed a driver problem.
I did not have this problem before I reinstalled windows, but somehow came up with it after the first re-install (& man it pissed me off, I don't like to see errors popup before I even log into windows).

So I did some more searching, after back tracing it to after I installed the NEWEST nvidia driver (& some recent ones as well), & finally found an older one that worked for me.

I have 3 reboots, & not a sign of our friend the "Windows - Registry Recovery" popup. Now it may not be the nvidia driver giving you all the problem, but I would gamble my left nut on the fact it is a DRIVER that you have installed. (TURN OFF AUTOUPDATE IN WINDOWS, to those that say "well I haven't installed any new drivers.)
