A couple of possibilities:
1. Get the free read-only DOS driver for NTFS from
http://www.systeminternals.com/ntw2k...NTFSDOS.shtml. Add the files to a normal DOS (e.g., Win98/ME) boot disk and then you can copy from NTFS to FAT32.
2. Use the XP CDROM to boot into the "recovery console". The recovery console is a DOS-like envirnoment that supports limited commands, but COPY is one of them.
3. Use the XP CDROM to perform a "repair" installation of XP. This should (in theory) revive XP. However, it will undo any updates and service packs for XP that you might have installed. It should not remove user files, and it should keep user settings.
