I recently purchased a Lexmark Z515 photo inkjet printer at
Walmart for a very inexpensive $35. When I got home, I unpacked the printer, which is a USB printer. I followed the directions on the sheet provided, and inserted the CD as instructed. The intall program comes up, I click on the Install button, and InstallShield runs. When it's done running, a dialog box opens that tells me it's preparing to copy files to my system, then closes.
It is on the XP HCL, and I tried downloading the driver directly from
Lexmark. Still no joy. Please, if someone knows a fix for this, I would consider you a friend for life ^^. Or at least my hero of the day!!
