Well mate, if you would of had checked the "Do not Archive" checkbox when you installed SP2 in the first place you wouldn't be in this mess in the first place because the SP install system would not of had saved the previous settings . But don't worry I think it's safe to delete those files (if u are sure that u won't need to uninstall SP2). As for the win updates I don't see any problem in deleting those too, although I do not recommend it.
