i would pull the card out, power up and see if the audio option in the bios returns, if it does not i would use the cmos jumper to clear the settings, remove the battery if no jumper(be very careful) static shock to the battery or jumper area can kill the bios chip. the setting should return unless the controller or a cap burned out. if it did return set the on-board audio and game port to disabled. power off and reinstall the card. it should pick it up.
