Uninstalling SP2 is not wise with the internet. SP2 has good security features and updates and works with EVERYTHING on my computer just fine accept with the strange playback issue within the media players. Divx is aware of these kinds of things and is working aroung them I am sure. I have contacted them as well. One thing I tell people is installing those codec packs is very risky because some of them are not compatible with Service Pack 2 and can reset the original settings causing conflicts. The most up-to-date codecs are necessary, and sometimes people do things on their computers that can cause bigger problems than the solutions that they needed to begin with. I will look into this though but I do NOT recommend people uninstalling the newest service packs because they are made for a good reason and the security against vicious worms which firewalls alone are not sufficient is very necessary. The service packs will work with the current firewalls from Norton as well which I have and recommend. Of course it will disable the Windows firewall and that is good because you do not want two firewalls running at the same time.
