IEEE bus controller not in Device Manager
Hi All
I bought a Maxtor One Touch 250g USB2/Firewire hard drive recently and I can't get it to work with my IEEE port. The IEEE is intergrated into my gigabyte motherboard along with the USB2 port. The drive works fine when I use the USB2 port. My problem seems to be the IEEE bus controller is not in the Device manager anywhere! My understanding is that it should be there. Most info I've received from seaching the net says I should install Winxp SP2. I'm reluctant due to problems I've had concerning my USB modem and SP2. How do I get back my intergrated IEEE into device manager? Gigabtye wasn't any help, my system bios didn't help(couldn't find it there either), maxtor, no help. There is a sight chance that I may have uninstalled the IEEE ealier this year, not sure really, but I keep thinking that I might have. Any help?
Thanks
