the way you have your drive mounted makes alot of difference. if you have a cheap case made out of beercan aluminum it will amplify it grealy..also do you have all the mounting screws in. sometimes i use a paper shim in between the metal to muffle the noise.
also if it is perking coffee you can run a disk check and fix errors, cleanup and defrag the drive which will reduce the time it takes the drive to read it's files.

I have an ASUS A10 case which I had bought for about 100 bucks, and I am sure the screws are well mounted. Actually the sound I hear is a high-pitched sound not the one that comes when hds arent mounted properly... Anyway thanx for your help...
