I have tried everything. It says I have no sound card installed, but I know I do. I don't have the CDs to reinstall any sound related things and the manufacturer's site offers nothing that works with my computer. I downloaded the Belarc Advisor and under multimedia it says None Detected.
My system model is:
Compaq Presario 061 DW255A-ABA SR1020N NA510 0n41411RE101GIOVA10
System Serial Number: MXK4090ZYS
Main circut board is:
Board: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD Gamila/Giovani/Neon series 030
Serial Number: 4110039827
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 3.06 12/31/2003
I dunno, I'm thinking that will give youa better picture of what I'm dealing with. Either way it's really irritating me because last time I reformatted somehow I got by sound back and I didn't need any CDs(But I might have downloaded something) or anything so I'm guessing I have some setting on my computer that is not set right. I don't know how I did it. I just clicked around and then like 2 weeks later I went into WMP and the music played. I tried clicking around but nothing happend. Well anyways, if you can help, please do and if you already have thank you so much for your time!
PS-Also, when I go into device manager under Other Devices my Multimedia Audio Control has a yellow question mark and a yellow exclamation point next to it. I'm guessing that means something?
