Thanks. I'm at work at the moment so am not able to check my computer until I get home. I've taken the card back and got a refund as I was sure the card was broken/faulty. When you say was the fan of the card pluuged into the power supply I'm not sure what you mean. I am not aware that you plug the fan into a power supply, there certainly wan't a lead with the card to enable you to do this. I've also taken the side panel off the computer to see if I can check the power rating. There is an enclosed metal box inside, where the power lead goes into the computer. It has a white label on and if I remember correctly it shows two different wattages, however, these show 180w max and 280w max (these are both next to voltage numbers). It is a brand new computer but is this really the wattage? It does seem rather low. The mother board detail are as follows -
