Been having the same problem..

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling SP2. (Device Manager doesnt work on either)

Tried reinstalling chipset drivers.

Full virus & Spyware scans - all clean.

Followed the instructions to the letter, but when i hit ok to apply changes I get the message. "Registry Editor could not set security in the key currently selected, or some of its subkeys" I click ok, and it doesnt solve the problem.

Help!?!
