http://www.belarc.com/free_download.htm ( Free programe ) get Belarc Advisor install and print off specs. then tell me what it says for:
System Model ( mother board )
Multimedia ( Sound card )
Main Circuit Board
Memory ( ram)
which model of HP do you have
It appears as if Win is not seeing your sound card.
Don't copy and paste Belarc it shows your Win product key and any other licence keys you have.
