Solution was to change PC's IP address, gateway, and mask to be compatible with that of printer

Printer is configured to talk to MAC but not to PC. Maybe I have to install network hub at MAC and print through network via the MAC. Darn! I was hoping not to involve the MAC since its not used very often and has 2 versions of OS9 on it. What I wanted to do was just switch the printer's ethernet cable connection when needed.
Any thoughts?
