to record streaming audio/audio played by ur soundcard/audio played by winamp...
1. install the correct audio drivers for the soundcard. if you dont have a soundcard like the SoundBlaster but instead uses the onboard sound chipset then download the sound drivers for your motherboard.
2. with correct drivers, set the recording volume:
3. Start > Run and enter sndvol32 in the Run text box.
2. Choose Option > Properties. Under Adjust Volume for, select Recording.
3. In the Show the Following Volume Controls section, make sure that all devices have a check mark next to them. Click OK.
4. Click Select for the recording device that you want to use [STEREO MIX, or look below:"Digital Source", and make sure that the recording volume is at least half way up. Click Close.
-- Digital Source: If you need to record anything from sources, such as Windows Media Player, that play on your computer, Internet radio, or a digital CD-ROM drive, you will want to select an option such as Mixed Output, Stereo Mix, What U Hear, Recording Mixer, or Wave. Your sound card may have a different option, but these are the most common options that most cards have.
hope it helps.
