Did u ever get it fixed?I know its been awhile since u last posted. The same thing happened to me,but mine was due to a complete crash from a virus that partially destroy ed my startup settings.when i did get it all fixed i would get the same CHKDSK screen, and like you it was for the wrong drive.My solution might be strange but i would reboot the second i saw the CHKDSK screen it worked for me after 3 trys at it. BTW,when you did run the CHKDSK scan would it have 3 steps or 5? If it only has 3 then its not a complete scan .ALSO try running norton's Disk Doctor on that drive,it does the same as CHKDSK but it should stop ur problem. if u do use norton make sure you check the fix errors box,but only use it on the drive that doesnt have your OS on it
