I am wanting to upgrade my graphics card on an older HP desktop. A couple questions I need answered please.
My major question: the cards I am looking at require at least a 250W power supply. My tired old computer has a 150W. What would be the likely result if I plugged in a new card as is?

My second question: researching the topic of replacing a graphics card I have seen several recommendations to uninstall the old graphics driver before installing the new card. My HP has a built in graphics chipset (I think). Sorry if this is a dumb question but... if I uninstall my graphics driver, will the monitor still work or will I be looking at a black screen?
