If you need to get drivers for your system go to Intel site,http://www.intel.com/index.htm?iid=H...Header_UShome&
your system is listed as D865PERL.under Download and Drivers select Desktop then Chipset and scroll down to D865PERL. The link to all your drivers is below.

Create a System Restore Point just in case

Go here to get your driver it is No: 4 Audio : ADI 1985 http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...4&submit=Go%21

If sound does not work, you will have to go back and download No:5 the INF- Intel chipset driver, install and then install the sound driver again. The best way to go is to save these files in a place where you can easily find them. They are both exe. files just double click them they will install automatocally.
