Exclamation Same here! Getting anoying

Ok I'm the first to say it.. having a title like University Lecturer doesn't always mean you know 'everything' ... now I got that off my chest... here's my problem.

I recently fixed a computer for a 'freelance' client and it worked perfectly, they travled all the way home, over 200 kms, then found out they had no sound. I had upgraded the computer from XP Home to XP Pro.

Here's my Belarc stats.

System

IBM 22561FA
System Serial Number: 99C6062
Enclosure Type: Low Profile Desktop

Mainboard

Board: IBM 22561FA
Serial Number: TCD6A0N6Q2U
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: IBM 21KT32AUS 03/17/2005

Processor

1.20 gigahertz Intel Celeron
32 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Multimedia
Intel(r) 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller

I left some other things out but the ones you need are there I hope.

What can I do? Would it be wiser to 'downgrade' to Win XP Home?
I've tried Avance & Realtek.. not C-media tho.

Any Ideas? Anyone ... Thanks in advance
