Need Help with my lap.

My laptop was not working properly and I tried system restore but it did not help so after I tried to reinstall windows with repair but same. After I formatted C disc and try to install windows XP (original it come with my laptop) so when it start copying fails it show like
Setup cannot copy the file:cdaudio.sys
To retry, press ENTER.
But anyway can not find.
So after skip
Next not found file: cinemst2.sys
Cpqdap01.sys
Cyycoins.chm
Cyzcoins.chm
Digras.chm
Driver.cab
And more files and after skipping finally windows can not install and after restarting this message:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
<Windows root>\system32\hal.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.

Please Help me with this problem!!!!
