I've recently been having problems when I start my computer. I get past the splash screen and right before it would normally say windows is configuring your settings (or whatever it says) the screen turns black and all that appears is the mouse pointer and the hourglass. Sometimes it starts normally but other times it takes up to 7 times for it to start and when I try safe mode it always seems to start fine. I've tried the Microsoft Support but it doesn't help. Could someone help? Thank you

My specs are:
P4 2GHz processor
768MB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 128MB 6600GT
