I have 2 desktops and 2 laptops on a LAN through a D-Link 604 router and have lost connectivity to the internet on one of the desktops. All are running XP Pro and interestingly enough on the one that I can't get through to the internet to regular sites I can access secured sites
https://. On that machine I can access e-mail as well as all the others. I can also access the internet on the other three computers. This problem sems to have started when I hooked up the last laptop to the LAN a week ago.
300mg+ memory on the problem machine, 1200 AMD Duron cpu, 1394 card, d-link ethernet card all updated as well as router firmware.
Can't download new version of IE6 as I can't access MS site and whenever I try that on another machine I get a notice indicating that I have an more current version and the download stops. Am at my wit's end. Can anyone suggest something?
