killing the criminal

i just sent a email asking tool if it was possible to change my nic here, even if he cant or dont i will have a new name here soon. the kc name goes back to a joke started several years ago and i am trying to switch over to one i have been using for about 6 months on other sites. i wont post it here right now because if someone took it, it would make me mad. i stopped posting here a while back like i did with most all the forums i went to. got emails from people asking me where i had been, was i comming back.....i do like this site, i just have to change the nic, it aint funny anymore, my kids are older now and ask me about it alot and it really needs to die.

Yeah, change is good. We all have to grow up sometime, lol. Especially if you have kids looking up to you, a more (respectable) name would be in order. That's good thinking!

Send a message via MSN to snowmonkey
Do you want to share the new nick name with us ? you know aht I would take it one step further (since you have older kids), your avatar too....

My son told me "snowmonkey" was a stupid name, I guess it is not COOL enough for him.

cheers

Growing older is inevitable, growing up is still an option.

I agree that you have to consider what impression your kids are getting from the way you project yourself. They aren't necessarily going to draw a distinction between a joke and a deeper truth. Good idea to change before they get a false image branded in their heads.

Consider, "snowmonkey". I think it's a cool name and it might be available soon.

the other day i had a bit of free time on my hands, while loading software on other machines i was posting here. after reading and posting several times(wasnt paying attention) clicked the main index and noticed my name was on all of the forums except the other os section. made me stop and think about my name for one, and also that i needed to back off untill other names took back control of the main index. i was kind of waiting for tool's response to my email, but have not recieved it yet either.
