Hoping someone can help me out on this. I appear to have some sort of spyware. Whenever I type a website into the address bar, I get redirected to the search-web.info. It appears to be the whole nkvd.us thing. I've searched several forums and know this has gone around, but can't seem to find the best way to get rid of it. I've tried spybot and a few others. Won't be around my computer for about a day, so no rush, but any help would be great! Thanks.

most spyware scanners default settings do not scan the host file. select the advaced options to include this, and a few other things in it's search and you will probably find the cause.

i recommend using Ad-aware 6.0 and spybot 1.2
