that is a very interesting question, being i download so much from the net. if i have to name something as the best, i would have to say the kentucky fried chicken secret recipes for everything they make. i found it late one night by accident while downloading music on winmx a couple of years ago. now my wife makes clole slaw and fried chicken just like their's and it dont cost half as much. it also has the rest of the menu including the pot pies and biscuits.
the worst thing i ever downloaded was for two reasons, one i hate the song, and reason #2 was i got the wrong thing. my wife and kids ask me to download the song who let the dogs out for them, since i dont let any of them use p2p(this was before the music crack down). i load up kazaa lite, did a search, found a media player file "who let the dogs out" by the baha men, file size was 4 megs, and it had 4 people sharing. i added it to what i was downloading. later i was checking the files i was downloading, loaded them all into the wmp8 and was listening while i posted on a tech forum, it got quiet, then i heard some odd sounds. i pulled up the media player and it was video, some chick and a german shepherd enjoying each others company. that was the last time i used kazaa, i stopped getting files from p2p programs because i was already tired of the viruses and other problems with using them. i used to get atleast a virus a week on my personal computer then, now i have not had a virus on it in over a year(since i dumped the p2p programs). it used to be nice to use kazaa and winmx to get big files at my house because i only can get dialup there, it would take a while but would resume if the connection reset. i used to download some things at work, now the company has stopped people from taking disk in and out of the plant. now i go to my sisters house and download anything i need on her cable connection.

I can't really say what was the best thing I downloaded from the net, but PTO's KFC secret reciepes are gonna be hard to beat :P. Over the years, my downloads folder now stands at 48 gigabytes. So I'd be hard pressed to say which ones was the best .

scouse i have yet to use office 2k3, have not seen it installed on a machine. is there enough difference between it and office xp to justify getting it? i looked at the MS hype about it on their site but was not impressed.

I don't know about the rest of Office 2003's like Word, Powerpoint, but Frontpage is definitely worth getting, there's a lot of improvements and its my main WYSIWYG editor now. Outlook also has improvements including a surprisingly working spam filter after a minor upgrade from the MS Site. :P I know you addressed the q to scouse, but I hope you don;'t mind me answering.

glad you did, was asking scouse because it was on his post. i dont use outlook at all i just use web mail that i check through the browser. that way i can get my mail from anywhere i am and i store things in them that way. you mentioned a working spam filter, has anyone noticed the popup blocker added to ie6 after sp2 beta is installed, it actually works great. i was amazed. the xp firewall is usable now and has a nice gui. i will be getting the 2k3 version of office soon because i use frontpage alot. i use word because when i type something up i am bad about typing to fast and have to spell check and add caps.

Oh, I see, MS posted two news bits about SP2, one was that it would be released for pirated versions and none pirated versions of XP, then contradicted themselves by stating on another statement that it would also implement the same anti-piracy procedures found in SP1, unfortunately, my version's pirated *grins* this is malaysia after all, so I can't download it.

if you have sp1 installed then you must have used the key changer crack....you can install sp2 beta with no trouble. dont know about the full release, but many people i know with the downloaded version are running sp2 with no problems.

Hello PTO to be honest mate i am not a big user of office so i could not tell you what the differenec is. I have it because it was there
Timekeeper is correct Frontpage rox That is one great programme. Also Microsoft publisher.
I have office 2003 Pro that has front page on it but i have office 2003 again, and that has Publisher on it.
And Publisher is cool also..
My sisters feller works for a big Dental hospital and gets all M$ software free, so i was able to get XP PRO Corp Legit and the Office XP Pro 203 from him.
The other Office 2003 i got as you probably guessed another way
I see you do not use Outlook, same here mate although it is installed i never use it. I am happy to get my mail like i always have.
I have my own site and email address for there, so i read my mail there.
Although i have hotmail but lets be honest who does'nt
