I wanna make some money!

Hello all. This is my first post here, and so far i am very impressed with this site.

I have grown up with windows since dos, and have learned a lot thoughout the days. When my friends or relatives need help with a problem on their computer, i am usually the first one that they call. Anyways, summer vacation is coming up here, and i wanted to make my knowledge useful and get a job.

I am willing to study a book or take a course for a week to polish up my knowledge. Some questions:

-Do I need a certification? Which one would be the most useful?
-How much would I earn over the course of one month and a half?
-What books or courses do you recommend?

So you want to make money with your knowledge of computers? You can do real well, but i cannot see you making anything over the net unless you can get a job at a site that charges for help.

Your best bets is to put a few adverts about close to were you live, go to your local corner shops and ask them can you put an advert in there windows. Costs about 7pence a day.

Put soemthing like this.

NEED COMPUTER REPAIRS OR UPGRADES OR LESSONS
THEN PLEASE PHONE XXX XXXX XXX OR EMAIL ME AT XXXX@XXXXX.COM. CHEAP RATES. WILLING TO DISCUSS PRICES TO FIT YOUR BUDGET. CHEAPEST IN TOWN

You wil be surprised how quick you will get phone calls and emails.

You can do very well over the few weeks you want to do it..

thats all great, but im not sure that i know everything, and i would like to make sure by studying for a test and obtaining a certification. I would be screwed if i went to someone's house, and had no idea what i was doing. Even if i read a good book, i would be more confident.

Also, your sample ad was very vague on the subject: computer repairs could mean broken a harddrive, viruses, kernal panic, etc. I dont know how to solve much of that. It would look stupid if i put up

NEED COMPUTER REPAIRS ONLY ON WINDOWS XP. PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER OPERATING SYSTEM, NEED A HARDWARE REPAIR...
