iBook and Powerbook

I may sound like a complete idiot, however, What's the difference between an iBook and a Powerbook? all i can see is the price.... but there has to be something other than that...

besides, i want to go into illustration, so... which would be better for me?

Well, they both use the G4 chip now. The iBook has less memory standard, less video memory and on board cache. The Powerbook is probably the better choice simply for the fact that the mid range model has a 15.2" screen and the largest on the iBook is the standard 14.1" screen. But the iBook comes with Apple Works whereas the Powerbook doesn't. So if that is important, go ahead and get the Powerbook and then spend $80 on Apple Works. But the screen I think is the big difference.

A desktop rather than a laptop!
