How does that work? Does someone actually intercept an email or do they create one that looks "official". I was on the phone once with HP requesting free recovery discs. Following our conversation I received and e mail from them, confirming that I would be getting the recovery discs, but they needed my credit card # because it said that they could not confirm my proof of purchase date or warranty. And just like vidster...I did not pay for the computer by credit card. Did not respond to that email, yet still received the discs.

Same thing happened to me when buying an Itanium Server. I never replied but still recieved my goods. Guess someone is just trying his/her luck.
