Backdoor.Optix Virus

I am new to viruses and worried about my last one. (Despite my running Norton 2002) I cought Backdoor.Optix. I quarantined and deleted, and yet other people are still able to type on my computer (while filling out a credit card application! and using IM and other web sites.

Is there somewhere I can go besides symantic to lear more about this?

You can go to other antivirus companies and try to find a removal tool. Panda, Trend/Micro, Mcafee ... You could also try to install Swat it. Its a tool for finding and removing trojan horses. Dont rely on Norton's live update to keep you safe. You need to go to their site every couple of days and download the new virus definitions. http://www.lockdowncorp.com/bots/downloadswatit.html
I would'nt be usin my charge card till you get rid of it.
