Your Favorite Movie and Video Game Soundtracks

Hey everyone!

I was just listening to the Resident Evil OST, and I
was just thinking that this would be a good thread topic.
So what's your favorite OST?
I have multiple favorites because I have a broad range of taste in music. The above OST I mentioned is one of my favorites.
Another one is the Halo 2 video game OST.

Don't really like the whole album of any, but I like a few songs off of Scorpion King, one off of Ghost Ship, and every song they had on the game BMX XXX. Rock on.

Of course the best one on that cd, IMO, is "I Stand Alone" by Godsmack.
That song is one of the reasons i'm into rock and metal today. Rock on, indeed!
What was the song that you liked from ghost ship?
Have you heard the Halo Game Soundtrack?

Can't think of the name of the song... but it was Mudvayne playing it. Then there was a song called My Little Box, by I don't know who... I thought it was Trent Reznor, but I remember seeing someone else in the credits.

By the way, the coolest song on BMX XXX was "Date Rape" by Sublime... just for info, they're not glorifying date rape, but actually making fun of what can happen to you if you decide to commit date rape:

"he was b*** raped by a large inmate"

The song by Mudvayne was called "Not Falling". It's played alot
on a radio station I listen to here in Detroit, but I don't like the radio version. Ever since that very first time i've listened to "not faling", I had that feeling that something was missing (in the song). Then I got a chance to hear the full version from watching the ending credit's of "Ghost Ship". Thumbs up for that song.
About that song by Sublime, "Date Rape", i've never heard it before. Maybe I should make a request for it.

Sublime is a ska band, and I'm not really into that type of music, but I think they are cool.

I've always had an affinity for hard-heavy (I don't know if you'd call it heavy metal anymore ) since I play guitar and bass, but I don't turn my nose up to any music that doesn't involve drive-by's or my dog dying, or my wife leaving me for the milkman, and taking my last beer on her way out.

I listen to a little of everything, but when I buy a cd, it is usually something heavy. Although I do have a few classical cd's... somewhere in this mess.

Cant say I show any interests in listerning to movie soundtracks, I hardly even listen to albums as I know there are only some I will like. So I tend to buy singles alone.

I'm the same way. I don't like these winy punk rock bands that constantly bitching about their G/F dumping them or why the world is so cruel and cold hearted. But music is music and there's a reason people call these mucisians artists, because music is art; An expression of emotion, and if you don't like what emotions these artists are expressing don't look and/or don't listen.

Metal, however is not all about what happens in the pop culture. Sometimes songs in the Metal genre will be political, most of the time angry, or they'll start bashing religion and singing about how fake (religion) it is. And that's why I like metal. The lead singer's don't wine about all of their losses. I do buy cd's by metal bands, but i'm open to listen to anything and if I like it enough, I'll buy the cd. For example, when Beyonce Knowles (lead singer of Destiny's Child) released her first solo debut cd, I wanted to buy the cd, becasue I listened to her radio singles and actally liked them. She also has a great singing voice, which is 50% of what I look for.

Dude, you don't know what your missing. You're either hard to please or aren't very artistic. One of the reason's I buy cd's is because I like the front cover art aka the Album Art. Like I said before, music is art.

My first "love" for album art: The very front of the Warrant-Cherry Pie album. I know, that is a little dated, but I was like 14 when that album hit the shelves. And that woman was a real looker.
