Fed up with Error messages?

Here's a few more, or make up your own. A good diversion after 6 error messages from AO H*ll followed by a Micros**t one saying my computer had just recovered from a serious error [no kidding! It froze and slung me off-line and rebooted itself.].

Hi Vidster. A-O-Hell really make me laugh when they advertise "Free On Line Help." It used to be OKayish but since it's been farmed out to Bombay/New Delhi/Wherever you get the same sets of fixes. It doesn't matter what you tell them is wrong, you get "Empty the Graphics Cache", "Rebuild Adapter", or the real fun one " Quick Restore". Looks like a good idea - until I found it wiped out all my stored e-mails except those stored on AOL, all my e-mail and Buddy settings, and all the Favourites in the Toolbar. The last time I was told to do this I told the "Agent" there was no chance I would do this because....etc. and it didn't help anyway, I was told, "If you won't follow instructions, we can't help you."
If you get the Irish Phone Techies, they are usually OK. Depends where your call is routed to. Best bet, go to the Techie Message Boards. Someone there has always had the same problem, and found a fix for it. I have searched in vain for another 24/7 with no time limit per month or redialling every 2 hours. I found only one that fitted the bill - £34.99 a month. Dearer than BB, not that we can get BB.
