G'Day
It really irks me when government agencies or private businesses blame their computers when a mistake is made. I contend there is no such thing as “computer error”.
The computer’s hardware may malfunction, however, humans write the operating systems and programs that run the computers. Therefore the computers can only respond to the data input that is provided by humans. If an error occurs it is because of a badly written program or faulty data input, again provided by humans.
In pre-computer days when typewriters were one of the main machines used in an office you never heard of the term “typewriter error”. If a spelling mistake or faulty information was provided, humans were to blame, not the typewriter.
So accusing the computer of making errors is a copout, it is only a machine responding to the sequence of keys that are pushed on the keyboard.
Let’s hear it for the computers,

you bloody bewdy. (oops is that a computer error?)
