Hello bryanR,
Well come to the fourm. can you help me with this problem?

Bios memory fail

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for assistance and kindness
The computer I am working on cannot save the date and time in its memory. If I am correcting the date in COMS of Setup then computer is on bad doesn’t have display so a need to turn it off or unplug power and then turn it on it works but Setup memory failed (shows date 1999).
I change the motherboard battery which had 0volt DC and I change the power supply, it had more than thousand Viruses (Redlof, Hidrag) I cleaned them by Norton but still I have the COMS problem.
At first after Restart or Turning off I had to wait for many hours with power supply unplugged then I was able to bring display.
The computer has Intel Celeron 601 mhz processor, and Window XP Pro on it.
I could not find the some problem in forum discuss
