It is about Win 98 SE...?

Hi!!

I got win 98 from my old system burned on a CD after got legal Cd full version it says For distribution with a new pc only........ SECOND EDITION so lucky I burned my old os 98 anyway.
My windows won`t boot up so I reformat my 60Gb HD,I go to bios change to cd-rom boot.
I put win98 SE cd into cd-rom and I try to install it doesn`t work so I put my burned win 98 and it boot up.So what is it wrong with my Win 98 SE.
I contact microsoft I try what he told me,still it is not working.I can`t use my 98 SE is there a way or should I send my disk in microsoft office .



From microsoft one person told me the win 98 SE may hve problem with your new hardware,is that the case?
