Odd cell phone charges

I think that some wireless companies just want to rip you off all the time. I just had to call the company to tell them they were charging me for something I didn’t want and that I was paying for something I didn’t get. How lame is that? I don’t hold it against the company really, they fixed it right quick, but the sales man must have put it in wrong. Oh well now I am happy (till I get my bill).

As usual I am going to as a question relevant to this topic: Who uses the internet on there phone? And does anyone connect there cell phone to there PC and use the cell phone internet for a modem?

For me that would be a double yes

Haha I use my phone, as a PHONE. Cuz, you know, thats what its for. All that internet crap is just an excuse for them to charge you $10 for a 50 kilobyte pacman game and really tiny texted laggy emails. So, my phone is a phone is a phone.

Cell phone charges are a complete rip off in the UK, and probably elsewhere too. Like the previous poster, I wouldn't dream of using it for anything but phoning someone.

Cell phones companies top the list of complaints at the Better Business Bureau.

They will rob you, rip you off, and lie to you.

NEVER sign up for a plan just because they are giving you a free or cheap phone. The choices of phones for these plans are limited and the phones are usally poor quality.

NEVER and I mean NEVER give a cell phone company(or anyone actually) access to your credit card or bank account to pay your bill. I mean auto widthdrawal is a NO NO. There are NO rules in place to protect you and they could clean you out blaming it as "a billing error". It could take weeks to get your money back.

If I can give you anymore advice is to NEVER sign up for a plan. These plans can be for 1 to 3 years. You could be stuck with a crappy phone that may be out for repairs more than it works. It cost big money to get out from under a plan.

Prepaid or Pay and Go type cell phone plans are much, much safer and reliable.

If ya don't go over minutes, you shouldn't need to worry about overage charges... I noticed, when I'm not online, I'm oon the phone alot.. If I am doin stuff by e-mail or busy online, I'm hardly on the phone..
