Arrow Warranty

I know if you tamper inside either a PC or Laptop it invalidates the warranty, but does it invalidate the warranty if you change your OS?

For example . . .

You buy a PC with XP installed then upgrade the OS to Vista.

This is all without opening the case! No extra RAM is added!

Does that invalidate the warranty?

I would recommend you contact the manufacturer of the computer.

They will give you the straight answer.

It's a bit ambiguous this one, if for example it is recommended that it is suitable to upgrade and the upgrade is on the site, then no the warranty still applies. But this is used in so many cases to not honor a warranty, I would be cautious and check beforehand.
