A few sticky threads...
Might it not be a good idea to have a few sticky threads regarding particular topics? Specifically...
A drivers thread explaining what they are, how to (perhaps) find them for yourself and how to install/uninstall/update them.
A specific "sound problems" thread, detailing driver links and links to manufacturer's sites.
A "How to..." thread for formatting & reinstalling/repairing OSs installing/uninstalling programs amongst others.
Common hardware/software problems, register fixes for particular and general issues and similar.
A "known issues" regarding hardware/software.
Just a thought.
