XP default 32-bit color at fresh install.
When you install Windows 2000 and down when the desktop first shows up its in 16-bit, grey and makes the icons ugly, but I noticed when I installed XP for the first time the graphics were full 32 bit, anyone wonder why MS didn't implement this better feature with its earlier versions?
